Robbie Kay's Acting Journey
Robbie Kay's family moved to the Czech Republic when he was young. There, he saw a note at his school asking for English-speaking kids to be extras in a movie. Even though he had never acted before, this led to him getting a speaking part in a film called The Illusionist. However, his scenes were later removed from the final movie.
Early Roles and Big Breaks
After his first experience, Robbie got small roles in movies like Hannibal Rising and My Boy Jack. Then, a Canadian film company asked him to play a young character named Jakob in Fugitive Pieces. This role involved nine weeks of filming, including three weeks on beautiful Greek islands.
The filmmakers for Fugitive Pieces looked at over 150 boys before choosing 10-year-old Robbie. He had been living in Prague for two years at that time. Before this, he spent a year learning acting, singing, and dancing at a Stagecoach theatre school in Britain.
Famous Characters and TV Shows
In 2008, Robbie starred as the main character in the TV show Pinocchio. After that, he played Sam, a boy with leukemia, in the movie Ways To Live Forever, which came out in 2010. He also appeared in the big adventure movie Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, playing a Cabin Boy.
One of his most famous roles was playing Peter Pan in the popular TV series Once Upon a Time. In March 2015, Robbie was cast as a high school student named Tommy Clark in the TV series Heroes Reborn.
