Robert da Silva Almeida, known simply as Robert, is a Brazilian former professional footballer. He was born on April 3, 1971, in Salvador, Brazil. Robert played as a midfielder, a player who helps both defend and attack on the football field. After his playing career, he became a professional football manager, guiding teams from the sidelines.

Robert had a long and exciting career playing for many different football clubs. He started his journey in Brazil, playing for teams like Olaria and Guarani in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Playing for Santos FC
One of the most important clubs in Robert's career was Santos. He played for Santos in two different periods. First, from 1995 to 1996, and then again from 2000 to 2003. During his time at Santos, he helped the team win the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A in 2002. This is a very important league title in Brazilian football. He also won the Torneio Rio-São Paulo with Santos in 1997.
