Robert Beugré Mambé is an important leader in Côte d'Ivoire, a country in West Africa. He is currently the Prime Minister of Côte d'Ivoire, a role he has held since October 2023. Before becoming Prime Minister, he was in charge of the special area around the capital city, Abidjan. He also led the group that organizes elections.

Early Life and Education

Robert Beugré Mambé was born in a place called Abiaté in Côte d'Ivoire. He studied hard to become a civil engineer. In 1976, he finished his studies at the National School of Public Works. He then continued his learning in Paris, France, and also in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. These studies helped him learn how to design and build important structures.

Career in Public Service

Mambé started his career as a civil engineer. He worked on many building projects in different cities across Côte d'Ivoire. These projects helped improve the country's infrastructure.

Leading Elections

From 2005 to 2010, Mambé was the head of the Independent Electoral Commission. This group is responsible for making sure elections are fair and organized. He played a key role in the country's voting process during that time.

Governor of Abidjan

In May 2011, President Alassane Ouattara chose Mambé to be the governor of the Autonomous District of Abidjan. This is a very important job because Abidjan is the largest city and economic center of Côte d'Ivoire. As governor, he worked on many projects to help the city grow. One of his big projects was building 25,000 affordable housing units. These homes were designed to be affordable for many families.

Becoming Prime Minister

Robert Beugré Mambé was a member of the Democratic Party of Ivory Coast – African Democratic Rally. Later, he joined another political group called the Rally of Houphouëtists for Democracy and Peace. On October 17, 2023, President Ouattara appointed him as the new Prime Minister. He took over from Patrick Achi. As Prime Minister, Mambé leads the government and works to improve the lives of people in Côte d'Ivoire.

Personal Life and Achievements

Robert Beugré Mambé has received special recognition for his work. He was given an honorary degree from Emlyon Business School. An honorary degree is a special award given to people who have achieved great things. He is also a lay preacher in the United Methodist Church. In 1988, he received the Order of Ivory Merit, which is a high honor in Côte d'Ivoire. He is married and has four children.
