Sanderson wrote a famous book about logic called Logicae Artis Compendium in 1615. Logic is the study of how to reason correctly. His book was used as a textbook for a long time. It was printed at least ten times during the 1600s.
Many students read his book. A writer named Izaak Walton said that by 1678, 10,000 copies had been sold. Even famous scientists like Isaac Newton studied Sanderson's logic.
