The Roccabella is a large building complex in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is made up of two tall towers. These towers are filled with special apartments called condominiums.
Roccabella is located right in downtown Montreal. It is very close to the Bell Centre, which is a famous arena. You can find it at Mountain Street and René-Lévesque Blvd.
What is Roccabella?
The Roccabella project includes two very tall buildings. Each building has 40 floors. Together, they have 552 condominium homes. A condominium is like an apartment that you own, rather than rent.
- Drummond Tower: This is one of the two main towers.
- De la Montagne Tower: This is the second tower in the complex.
Each tower stands about 147 meters (or 482 feet) tall. This makes them quite noticeable in the city skyline.
Building Roccabella
The construction of the Roccabella complex happened in stages. Work on the first tower began in 2013. This tower was finished in early 2016.
After the first tower was complete, construction started on the second tower. This began in late 2016. Building such large towers takes a lot of time and effort!
Who Built It?
Many different companies and people worked together to build Roccabella.
- The main architects were Béïque Legault Thuot Architectes. They designed how the buildings would look.
- The main construction company was Magil Construction. They were in charge of actually building the towers.
- Other engineers helped with the structure and services inside the buildings.
