Leonard F. George (born January 9, 1965), known as Rocky George, is an American guitarist. He has played in many famous bands.

Rocky George was the lead guitarist for ... Tendencies from 1984 to 1995. He was the first African-American member of that band. After that, he played with 40 Cycle Hum and Cro-Mags. In 2003, he joined Fishbone. Rocky also played in a punk rock band called Pap Smear with his friends. In 2019, he rejoined the Cro-Mags.

Rocky George's Music Journey

Rocky George started his music career playing with friends in a band called Pap Smear. Even though they didn't release their own albums, two of their songs were later recorded by another band called Slayer.

Rocky first appeared on an album called Welcome to Venice. He played on the song "Look Up...(The Boys Are Back)". He also helped his friend, Robert Trujillo, join the band. They were friends from Culver City High School.

In 2003, Rocky joined the band Fishbone. He played on their 2006 album, Still Stuck in Your Throat. He also played on two shorter music collections called EPs. In 2008, he played with his old bandmates from Infectious Grooves. He left Fishbone in 2017 when the original members of that band got back together.

Guitars and Equipment

Rocky George mostly uses Ibanez guitars. He has used them for many years. He is supported by Ibanez, meaning they provide him with guitars. There was a rumor that he designed the "RG" series of guitars. But "RG" actually stands for "Roadstar Guitar," not Rocky George. He also uses Mesa Boogie amplifiers to make his guitar sound louder.
