Rogers Bridge Park is a fun city park located in Duluth, Georgia. It's right next to a river and even has a special area for dogs! The park is about 17 acres big. That's a lot of space to explore! You can find it in the northwest part of Duluth, on Rogers Bridge Road.
Exploring the Trails
There's an old steel bridge at the park. It crosses the Chattahoochee River. This bridge is being fixed up right now. Soon, you'll be able to walk or bike across it! The park is a great spot because it connects to future trails. These trails will be perfect for walking and biking. They include the Western Gwinnett Bikeway and the Chattahoochee River Greenway.
Park Fun and Features
The Chattahoochee River flows along one side of the park. Most of the park is a big open grassy field. There are also some small wooded areas. The park has a gravel parking lot for cars. You can also find a picnic pavilion and a playground. These are great spots for families to enjoy. There's also a boat ramp you can use to get to the river.
Here are some cool things you'll find at the park:
- A large pavilion that's 3,100 square feet.
- One fun playground for kids.
- A parking lot with space for 15 cars.
- Two horseshoe pits for games.
- A picnic area with 10 tables and 2 grills.
Chattapoochee Dog Park
This is the first dog park ever built in Duluth! It's a huge area, almost three acres big. The dog park is in the northeast part of Duluth. It's also right next to the Chattahoochee River.
People love this dog park! In 2017, it was named one of the best dog parks in the Atlanta area. In 2018, it won third place in Atlanta. It even won first place in Gwinnett County!
The dog park has different sections:
- A one-acre area for small dogs. It has a cool fountain for them to play in!
- A two-acre area for large dogs. This one also has an interactive fountain.
- Places to sit and relax.
- Fun equipment for dogs to play on.
- Lots of green space for dogs to run.
