Henoc Beauséjour (born November 18, 1973), known as Roi Heenok, is a Canadian rapper, music producer, and business owner. He is from Montreal, Quebec, and has Haitian family roots.

Early Life and Music Beginnings

Roi Heenok moved to the United States when he was two years old. His family traveled a lot before finally settling in Montreal, Quebec. In 1989, Roi Heenok moved to Queens, New York. He wanted to learn more about hip hop music and DJing, which he loved from a young age.

Starting His First Record Label

While in New York, he started his first record label called Drama Stay Life Entertainment. He helped local artists by signing them and producing their music. Some of these artists included Iman Thug and Rudy Red. In 1999, Roi Heenok returned to Montreal and opened his own music recording studio.

Music Career and Success

In 2003, Roi Heenok launched his current record label, Gangster & Gentleman Records Inc. Through this label, he signed and produced music for artists like Rap Iso and UgoBoss. He also worked with Lynn, who was the first female R&B singer on his label.

Gaining Fame in France

In 2005, Roi Heenok appeared on MTV France during a visit to Paris. He later worked on movie projects, including Les Mathématiques du Roi Heenok, which was released in January 2008. This was a DVD project directed by Mohamed Mazouz and Romain Gavras.

Since 2004, Roi Heenok has become very well-known in France and the French rap music scene. He was one of the first artists to use the internet to share his music and videos. He became a viral video star when websites like YouTube and Dailymotion were just starting to become popular. He is known for his special and real style of French rap music, inspired by Queens, New York.

Collaborations and Albums

Roi Heenok has worked with famous artists like Raekwon from the Wu-Tang Clan and G.O.D Pt.3 from Infamous Mobb. His music has also been featured on albums, including Capitale du Crime 2 by Sony artist La Fouine.

He has released several music collections called mixtapes. These include Propagande Américaine : La Dose in 2005, and two volumes of Rap Musique in 2007 and 2009. On December 12, 2012, he released his first independent album, Noirs et Professionnels, which was available only on iTunes through his label.

Roi Heenok has also starred in three movie projects. These include Les Mathématiques du Roi Heenok, Le Monde Selon Roi Heenok, and Le Retour à Queens Bridge. The last one was directed by Amine Bouziane, Julien Lafond, and Henoc Beauséjour himself.

In 2008, Roi Heenok started his own clothing brand called Ghetto Elegance.
