Ronnie Burns grew up in a place called Pirlangimpi. This is on the Tiwi Islands in Australia. He is the nephew of two other famous footballers, Tony and Benny Vigona. Ronnie went to school at St John's College, Darwin.
His Football Journey
Ronnie started his football journey at the St Mary's Football Club. This team is in the Northern Territory Football League. Later, he moved to Western Australia. There, he played junior football for the Claremont Football Club. After a short time back in Darwin, he returned to Perth. He joined the West Perth Football Club.
Playing for Geelong
Ronnie Burns was then chosen to play in the AFL. He was drafted by the Geelong Football Club, also known as the Geelong Cats. He played as a "small crumbing forward."
