Rory Bushfield, born on May 30, 1983, is a Canadian professional skier. He is also known for making films and being a star on reality TV shows.
Rory Bushfield was once a member of Canada's World Cup team. He competed in mogul skiing, which involves skiing down a bumpy slope. He also took part in slopestyle skiing, a freestyle event with jumps and obstacles. Later, he focused on backcountry skiing and making movies.
In March 2013, Bushfield joined the reality diving show Splash. He won the competition on May 7, 2013, beating Nicole Eggert.
About Rory's Life
Rory Bushfield married fellow freeskiing star Sarah Burke on September 25, 2010. Their wedding took place in Pemberton, British Columbia. Sarah Burke was a very successful skier. She won five gold medals at the Winter X Games. She also became a world champion in halfpipe skiing in 2005.
Sadly, Sarah passed away on January 19, 2012, after a training accident in Utah. Rory started the Sarah Burke Foundation to honor her memory. This foundation helps support athletes and promote safety in sports.
Today, Rory Bushfield lives in Squamish, British Columbia. He shares his home with his dog, Dexter. Rory is also a pilot and can fly single-engine planes.
