Rory Cochrane (born February 28, 1972) is an American actor. He is known for playing interesting characters in many movies and TV shows. Some of his famous roles include Ron Slater in Dazed and Confused, Lucas in Empire Records, and Lee Schatz in Argo. He also played Tim Speedle in the popular TV series CSI: Miami.

Rory Cochrane's Acting Journey
Rory Cochrane started his acting career with small parts. His first movie role was in A Kiss Before Dying. After that, he got a bigger role playing Jeff Goldblum's son in the movie Fathers & Sons.
Breakthrough Roles in Movies
Cochrane became well-known for his role as Ron Slater in the 1993 movie Dazed and Confused. He then gave a strong performance as Billy Mack in the action-comedy Love and a .45 in 1994. Cochrane also had success with his role as Lucas in the comedy Empire Records. He appeared in Hart's War alongside Bruce Willis and Colin Farrell. He also worked with director Richard Linklater again in the 2006 film A Scanner Darkly.
Television Appearances
Rory Cochrane played CSI Tim Speedle in the TV show CSI: Miami for its first three seasons. He even returned for a special appearance in a later season. In 2015, Cochrane had a supporting role in the true-crime movie Black Mass. In this film, he played Stephen Flemmi, and the movie starred Johnny Depp.
