Rory Wilbur White, born on August 16, 1959, is a former professional basketball player from America. Standing tall at 6 feet 8 inches and weighing 210 pounds, he played as a power forward. Rory played college basketball for the South Alabama Jaguars. He was even named the best player in the Sun Belt Conference in 1979! The Phoenix Suns picked him in the 1982 NBA draft. His best season was with the Los Angeles Clippers in 1985-86, where he scored about 11.7 points per game.

Rory White's College Basketball Journey

Rory White played college basketball at the University of South Alabama from 1977 to 1982. He earned many awards during his time there. In 1979, he was named the best player in the Sun Belt Conference.

He was also chosen for the All-Conference team three times. In 1982, he made the Sun Belt All-Tournament team. In 1979, Rory helped South Alabama win the Sun Belt regular season title. This led them to the NCAA tournament, where they played against Louisville University. Sadly, they lost in the first round.

In 1980, Rory had a serious knee injury. This meant he missed almost the entire 1979–80 season. He only played in two games that year.

After his college career, Rory White became one of the first players from South Alabama to be drafted into the NBA. He was the second player from his school to achieve this.
