Rosa M. Miró-Roig, born on August 6, 1960, is a brilliant professor of mathematics. She teaches at the University of Barcelona in Spain. Her special areas of study are algebraic geometry and commutative algebra. These are advanced parts of mathematics that deal with shapes and numbers. Professor Miró-Roig is the main editor of a mathematics research journal called Collectanea Mathematica. This journal publishes new discoveries in mathematics.

In 2007, Professor Miró-Roig received a special award. She won the Ferran Sunyer i Balaguer Prize. This prize was given to her for her excellent work on the book "Determinantal Ideals."
