Rosedale is in the northern part of Iberville Parish. It is located at 30°26′24″N 91°27′42″W / 30.44000°N 91.46167°W. The village of Grosse Tete is just to its south. A waterway called Bayou Grosse Tete flows right through the middle of Rosedale.
Roads and Travel Around Rosedale
Two main roads, Louisiana Highways 76 and 77, meet in the center of Rosedale.
- LA 76 goes about 16 miles (26 km) east to Port Allen. Port Allen is across the Mississippi River from Baton Rouge.
- LA 76 also goes about 3.5 miles (5.6 km) west towards Ramah and Interstate 10.
- LA 77 follows Bayou Grosse Tete. It goes about 6 miles (10 km) northwest to Maringouin.
- LA 77 also goes about 2 miles (3.2 km) southeast to Interstate 10 at Grosse Tête.

- Older students attend Plaquemine High School.
Changes to High School Education
North Iberville Elementary and High School used to serve the community. However, North Iberville High School closed in 2009. Parents wanted the school to stay open, but it closed. Students were then sent to Plaquemine High School. Some parents were concerned because of the long travel distances to the new school.
Good news came in 2022! The Iberville Parish School Board decided to reopen North Iberville High School. The high school is now part of the Iberville STEM Academy. Students returned to North Iberville High School in the fall of 2022.
