Roxana is a special area called a district in the Pococí region. It is part of the Limón province in Costa Rica.

History of Roxana
Roxana was officially created on July 2, 1971. This happened through a special government order called "Decreto Ejecutivo 1825-G." Before this, Roxana was part of another district called Guápiles.
Geography of Roxana
Roxana covers an area of about 175.67 square kilometers. Its elevation, or how high it is above sea level, is about 106 meters.
Most of Roxana's land is flat. The average height above sea level is 106 meters.
Roxana is located in the northeastern part of Costa Rica. It shares borders with other districts:
- To the north, it borders Cariari.
- To the west, it borders La Rita.
- To the east, it borders Colorado.
- To the south, it borders Guacimo.
The main town in the district is also called Roxana. It is about 10.7 kilometers north of Guápiles. It takes about 16 minutes to drive there. Roxana is also about 77.6 kilometers northeast of San José, which is the capital city of Costa Rica. This drive takes about 1 hour and 35 minutes.
