Roxanne Martin, also known as Bezhik Anungo Kwe (which means One Star Woman), is an Anishinaabe artist. She is also an educator, author, and a jingle-dress dancer. Roxanne is a small business owner and works to support the LGTBQA2+ community. She is the niece and goddaughter of artist Cecil Youngfox. Roxanne comes from Wiikwemkoong First Nation and Serpent River First Nation, and she is part of the Eagle clan.

Roxanne Martin's Journey
Roxanne studied Theatre Arts Production at Cambrian College in Sudbury, Ontario. She also earned degrees from Algoma University and Nipissing University. Her studies focused on fine arts and education.
Helping the Ojibwa Language
Roxanne cares a lot about keeping the Ojibwa language alive. She wrote a series of children's books called Baby WayNa. These books help very young children (from babies to age five) learn the language.
Teaching in First Nations Communities
Starting in 2015, Roxanne began working with the Teach for Canada program. She has taught kindergarten to grade 6 in Lac Seul, Eagle Lake, and Wabigoon First Nations.

Art Exhibitions
- 'Maamaandaawinam,' which means "She has a vision", was an exhibition at 180 Projects Gallery in Sault Ste. Marie. It took place from March 28 to 31, 2013.
- Youth Solidarity Exhibition was shown at the Art Gallery of Ontario. You could see it from June 22 to November 15, 2014.
Awards and Recognition
- Roxanne received the Michaelle Jean Foundation Youth Solidarity Award in 2014. This award celebrates young people who work to make their communities better.
