Roya Nonahali (Persian: رویا نونهالی) was born on February 13, 1963, in Tehran, Iran. She is a famous Iranian actress and director. Before becoming an actress, she studied painting. She started working in theatre in 1984, which is where she began her journey in the world of acting.

Roya Nonahali started her film career in 1987 with a movie called The Beloved Is at Home. Later, a well-known director named Mohsen Makhmalbaf chose her for his film Marriage of the Blessed.
