The Royal Hotel in Perth, Western Australia is a very old building. It was built in 1882. This historic hotel has stood for over one hundred years. You can find it at the corner of Wellington and William streets.

History of the Royal Hotel
The Royal Hotel has a long and interesting past. It has seen many changes in Perth over the years.
Early Days and New Names
When it first opened, the hotel was an important place in the city. In 1894, it was known as Schruth's Royal Hotel. This shows how its name could change over time.
Updates and Ownership
The building got a big update in 1906. Its outside look, called the facade, was made new and fresh. Later, in 1925, a company called the Swan Brewery bought the hotel.
Standing Strong Today
Even though many buildings around it changed or were torn down, the Royal Hotel building has stayed standing. It is a symbol of Perth's history. After big updates, a new place called The Royal opened there. This pub, or public house, started welcoming people on November 16, 2019. It continues to be a popular spot in the city.
