Rumonge Province is one of the 18 provinces in the country of Burundi. A province is like a large region or state within a country. The main city and capital of this province is also called Rumonge.
This province was created on March 26, 2015. Rumonge Province is located right on the edge of Lake Tanganyika. This is a very large and famous lake in Africa! The province is also home to two important nature areas: the Rumonge Nature Reserve and the Kigwena Nature Reserve. These places help protect local plants and animals.
