The Ruoff Music Center is a large outdoor concert place in Noblesville, Indiana, United States. It's like a giant stage and seating area for music shows. It has had a few different names over the years, including Deer Creek Music Center and Klipsch Music Center.
This venue is the biggest outdoor music spot in the Indianapolis area. It can hold many people, with 6,147 seats under a roof and another 18,000 spots on a grassy lawn. While it's mostly used for big concerts, it also hosts high school graduations and other events.
About the Ruoff Music Center
The Ruoff Music Center is an open-air venue. This means it's outside, perfect for live concerts and music festivals. It first opened its doors in 1989. The venue is located near a major highway, Interstate 69.
A company called Sunshine Promotions built the amphitheater. Later, a bigger company called Live Nation Entertainment took over ownership. Live Nation still owns and operates the venue today.
A Top Concert Spot
The Ruoff Music Center is very popular. In 2018, a magazine for the concert world, Pollstar, said it was the best concert amphitheater in the world. This was based on how many tickets it sold that year.
The year before, in 2017, it was ranked third globally. In 2021, it was still one of the top venues, ranking second. In 2023, it was again ranked as the top amphitheater worldwide for tickets sold. It also ranked third for total money earned from sales.
Changes to the Name
The music center has changed its name several times. In 2011, a company called Klipsch Group, Inc. bought the rights to name the venue. Their main office is located nearby. Even with the name change, Live Nation still owned the venue. It kept bringing in big music acts during the summer months.
On September 27, 2017, Live Nation announced another new name. A company called Ruoff Home Mortgage became the new sponsor. So, the venue became the Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center. Then, on December 5, 2019, the name was made shorter. It became simply the Ruoff Music Center, which it is known as today.
