Rupal River facts for kids
The Rupal River is a river that starts from the melting ice of the Rupal Glacier in northern Pakistan. It flows from east to west through the Rupal Valley, which is located south of a very tall mountain called Nanga Parbat. After flowing through the valley, the river turns northeast towards a village named Tarashing.
Where Does the Rupal River Go?
The Rupal River eventually flows into the Astore River. The Astore River then joins the much larger Indus River near a place called Jaglot. This means the water from the Rupal River travels a long way, becoming part of one of the biggest rivers in Asia.
