A Look Back at Rupert
Rupert once had its own post office. This post office opened on May 2, 1894. However, it closed down a few years later, on August 31, 1901. Today, people in Rupert get their mail through the London branch.
In 1915, Rupert was a very small community. It had a general store where people could buy many different things. There was also a blacksmith shop. A blacksmith is someone who makes and repairs things made of iron. At that time, Rupert only had a few houses.
