About Råslätts IP

This sports ground is mainly used for three popular sports. These are bandy, soccer, and track and field athletics. It is the home field for two local sports teams. Jönköping Bandy IF plays its bandy games here. Råslätts SK uses it for their soccer matches.

An artificial ice rink was added to Råslätts IP. It officially opened on January 15, 1988. There were plans to build a larger sports center. This center would have included an indoor bandy venue. It was originally hoped to be finished by 2009.

Exciting International Games

Råslätts IP has hosted some exciting international bandy games. In 1993, the Swedish national team played against the Russian national team. Sweden won that game with a score of 4-1. Four years later, in 1997, the two teams met again. Sweden secured another victory, winning 6-4.

The sports ground can hold many fans. It has a seating capacity for 3,000 spectators. This means a lot of people can come and watch the games.

Recent Practice Matches

In January 2013, Råslätts IP was the site of some practice games. On January 19, Månsarps IF played against the Canadian national team. Månsarps IF won the game 6-1. Two days later, on January 21, another practice match took place. Jönköping Bandy IF played against the Team USA. Jönköping Bandy IF won that game with a close score of 5-4.
