Råå IF facts for kids
Råå Idrottsförening, often called Råå IF, is a football club from Råå, Sweden. Råå is a town located by the Öresund strait, south of Helsingborg.
This club has a proud history! They won the Swedish Cup in 1948. They also finished as the second-best team in the Allsvenskan league in the 1950–51 season. The Allsvenskan is the top football league in Sweden.
Råå IF is part of the Skånes Fotbollförbund, which helps organize football in their region.

Club History and Highlights
Råå IF started as a Swedish sports club on March 25, 1921. A group of high school students created it in a basement in Helsingborg. The club was first named Enighet, which means "Unity". In 1925, they changed their name to Råå Idrottsförening.
The team played their first games at Valhallagatan. In 1928, they moved to Hedens idrottsplats. Their current home, Råå IP, opened on May 29, 1928. Råå IF played their first match there against Stattena IF, losing 3–1.
Golden Era: 1940s and 1950s

Råå IF has played in both the top and lower divisions of Swedish football. A big moment came in 1948 when they won the Swedish Cup. They beat BK Kenty with a score of 6–0!
In 1950, with coach Albin Dahl, the club moved up to the Allsvenskan, Sweden's highest league. In their very first season in the Allsvenskan (1950–51), Råå IF finished as runners-up. During this exciting time, they also had a famous Hungarian coach, Kálmán Konrád. He had coached big clubs like Bayern Munich and Slavia Prague.
During their two years in the Allsvenskan (1950–1952), Råå IF played at the Olympia in Helsingborg. They had many fans come to watch, with an average of 9,273 spectators per game. Their record attendance was 23,604 people for a match against Malmö FF.
Recent Years and Notable Players
After their golden era, Råå IF's performance changed a lot. In 1996, they were playing in Division 7, which is a much lower league.
As of the 2020 season, Råå IF played in Division 3 Södra Götaland, which is the fifth tier of Swedish football. They finished 9th that year and avoided being moved down to a lower league. They still play their home matches at Råå IP.
In 2012, a very famous Swedish football player, Henrik Larsson, played one match for Råå IF. This was in Division 3 Södra Götaland.
