Réal Andrews (born Réal Johnson on January 31, 1963) is a Canadian actor. He is famous for playing Chance Walker in the TV show Soldier of Fortune, Inc.. He is also well-known for his role as Marcus Taggert on the ABC soap opera General Hospital. He has been part of this show since 1996.

Réal Andrews' Early Life
Réal Johnson, who later became Réal Andrews, grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia. He was raised by his mother. When Réal was 21, his mother married Cyril Nathan Andrews. Cyril adopted Réal, and that's how he got the name Andrews.
Réal went to an all-boys private school. When he was younger, he was not interested in acting. He described himself as a "jock," meaning he loved sports. His aunt first introduced him to acting by inviting him to a class. In 1981, at age 18, Réal moved to Toronto, Canada for college. There, he started working in the entertainment world.
Réal Andrews' Acting Career
Réal Andrews began his career in 1981 as a stuntman. He was one of the first Black stunt performers in Canada. A stuntman performs dangerous actions in movies and TV shows. Even with many stunt jobs, Réal worked hard as an actor for years.
In late 1996, he got a role on General Hospital. This role was Marcus Taggert. It was a small part at first, but it helped launch his acting career. From 1997 to 1999, Andrews also starred in the series Soldier of Fortune, Inc.. He played Chance Walker in this action show.
He left General Hospital for a few months in 1997 but returned later that year. In 2003, Andrews decided not to continue his role as Taggert. His character was written out of the show in May 2003.
Andrews then joined the cast of As the World Turns in 2003. He played Walker Daniels. He left that show about a year later. In 2010, Andrews joined the web series The Bay as Dr. Keith Campbell. He also had a role in Days of Our Lives starting in 2015.
In 2020, Réal Andrews made a surprise return to General Hospital as Taggert. This happened on January 17, 2020. In October 2024, he shared that he had finished his time on General Hospital. He also mentioned he had signed on for a new, secret project.

Réal Andrews married Michele Viscasso on November 4, 2000. They have three children together.
