Söll is a small town, also called a municipality, in Austria. It's part of the Kufstein district in the beautiful Tyrol region. Söll is about 9 kilometers (5.6 miles) south of Kufstein city and 9 kilometers east of Wörgl. The town is made up of 25 smaller areas. People in Söll mostly earn money from farming and from visitors who come to enjoy the area.

Skiing and Fun in Söll
Söll is a very popular place for ski holidays. It is part of the Ski Welt Wilder Kaiser region, which is a huge ski area. The town sits right below the Hohe Salve peak. This peak is the highest point in the entire ski area.
Hohe Salve Mountain
The Hohe Salve mountain has challenging ski runs. These include black and red trails, plus special ski routes from the top lift station. At the very top of the Hohe Salve, you can find a church. There's also a mountain restaurant there. This restaurant has a cool revolving terrace. It gives you amazing views of the whole region while you eat!
Exploring the Ski Welt Area
Söll is part of the "Ski Welt" area. This is the largest connected ski area in all of Austria. It has about 250 kilometers (155 miles) of ski trails for downhill skiing. Other ski resorts in the Ski Welt Wilder Kaiser region include Itter, Scheffau, Ellmau, Going, Brixen, and Hopfgarten.
A new ski lift opened in 2008/2009. This lift connects Brixen to Westendorf. From Westendorf, you can even reach Kitzbühel. This connection makes it one of the biggest ski regions in the world!
After-Ski Fun
After a day of skiing, Söll offers lots of fun. This is called "après-ski." You can find bars right by the slopes. They offer music, dancing, and drinks late into the night. Sometimes, you might need a ski bus to get from your hotel to the ski lifts.
Ski Pass Information
To ski in the "Ski Welt" area, you need a "Ski Welt" ski pass. If you want to ski in the Kitzbühel area too, you'll need the "Kitzbuehler Alpen" ski pass. This pass lets you explore even more slopes.

Interesting Places to See
Söll has several interesting sights to explore:
- Saint Peter and Paul Church: This parish church was built between 1764 and 1768. It has a beautiful Baroque style. You can find it in the old village center.
- Traditional Tyrolean Houses: As you walk along Main Street, you'll see many typical Tyrolean buildings. Some of these old houses have amazing paintings on their walls. For example, the old inn called Postwirt has some very nice ones.
- Pilgrimage Church: There's also a special church called Das Wallfahrtskirchlein am Stampfanger. It's a pilgrimage church, which means people travel there for religious reasons.
- War Memorial: You can find a war memorial in Söll. It remembers a battle from the Napoleonic wars. This battle happened on May 13, 1809, very close to Söll. The memorial is at the end of a walking path in the northern part of the village.
Getting Around Söll
Söll is easy to reach. You can take a bus from the Kufstein railway station. There are also buses that go to Wörgl and St. Johann in Tirol.
