Söll is a small town, also called a municipality, in Austria. It's part of the Kufstein district in the beautiful Tyrol region. People in Söll mostly earn money from farming and from visitors who come to enjoy the area.

Skiing and Fun in Söll

Söll is a very popular place for ski holidays. It is part of the Ski Welt Wilder Kaiser region, which is a huge ski area. The town sits right below the Hohe Salve peak. This peak is the highest point in the entire ski area.

Hohe Salve Mountain

The Hohe Salve mountain has challenging ski runs. These include black and red trails, plus special ski routes from the top lift station. At the very top of the Hohe Salve, you can find a church. There's also a mountain restaurant there. This restaurant has a cool revolving terrace. It gives you amazing views of the whole region while you eat!

Exploring the Ski Welt Area

Söll is part of the "Ski Welt" area. This is the largest connected ski area in all of Austria. It has about 250 kilometers (155 miles) of ski trails for downhill skiing. Other ski resorts in the Ski Welt Wilder Kaiser region include Itter, Scheffau, Ellmau, Going, Brixen, and Hopfgarten.

A new ski lift opened in 2008/2009. This lift connects Brixen to Westendorf. From Westendorf, you can even reach Kitzbühel. This connection makes it one of the biggest ski regions in the world!

After-Ski Fun

After a day of skiing, Söll offers lots of fun. This is called "après-ski." You can find bars right by the slopes. They offer music, dancing, and drinks late into the night. Sometimes, you might need a ski bus to get from your hotel to the ski lifts.

Ski Pass Information

To ski in the "Ski Welt" area, you need a "Ski Welt" ski pass. If you want to ski in the Kitzbühel area too, you'll need the "Kitzbuehler Alpen" ski pass. This pass lets you explore even more slopes.
