S. Rajasekar (born August 19, 1957 – died September 8, 2019) was a talented Indian artist. He worked as a cinematographer (the person who films movies), a film director (who guides the making of a movie), and an actor. He was also known for working with another director, Robert, as a team called Robert–Rajasekar.

His Journey in Films and TV

Starting in Movies

Rajasekar got his first big chance as a cinematographer with the film Kudisai. He also worked on Oru Thalai Ragam. Later, he became an actor, playing the main role in Bharathiraja's movie Nizhalgal. He also directed many successful films with Robert as the duo Robert–Rajasekar.

Becoming a TV Star

After his film work, Rajasekar started acting in many popular TV shows. Some of these include Thendral, Saravanan Meenatchi, Valli, and Sathya. His role in Saravanan Meenatchi was very popular. He played a funny and friendly dad, which made him well-known to a new generation of viewers.

His Personal Life

Rajasekar married Tara Begam in 1990. They did not have any children.

His Passing

S. Rajasekar passed away on September 8, 2019, at the age of 62. He was getting treatment at Ramachandra Hospital in Chennai when he died from an illness. He lived in Valasaravakkam, Chennai.
