SMAP was a very popular Japanese boy band. Their music was created by a company called Johnny's. The group started in April 1988 with six members. Later, they became a five-member group.
They had their first big concert at Nippon Budokan in January 1991. Their first album, Can't Stop!!-LOVING, came out on September 9, 1991.
The name SMAP is an acronym. This means each letter stands for a word. SMAP stands for Sports Music Assemble People.
