Sabreen Hisbani Baloch (Urdu: سبرین حسبانی , Sindhi: صابرين حسباني) is a talented Pakistani actress. She was born on September 10, 1978. Before becoming an actress, she worked as a flight attendant for an airline in Pakistan.
Sabreen is well-known for her roles in many popular TV shows. Some of her most famous works include Kitni Girhain Baaki Hain, Nikhar Gaye Gulab Sare, Saat Pardon Mein, Sanjha, Aunn Zara, and LAA. Her performances in Kitni Girhain Baaki Hain and Nikhar Gaye Gulab Sare earned her a lot of praise. She was nominated for a Hum Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Laa. She even won the same award at the 4th Pakistan Media Awards for her work in Aunn Zara.
In 2024, Sabreen Hisbani tried something new by acting in a live play called Salgirah. This play was in the Sindhi language. It told the story of a married couple who had been together for a long time. They faced their feelings and the pressures from society. Sabreen's performance was a big success, and the show was sold out. It happened at the Arts Council Karachi on October 17, 2024.

Early Life and First Steps in Acting
Sabreen Hisbani was born in Karachi, Pakistan, on September 10, 1978. Her mother is Maria Baloch. Sabreen has two sisters and two brothers. Her sister, Sanam Baloch, is also a very famous actress and TV host. Sabreen's mother was a folk singer who sang in the Sindhi language.
Sabreen started her career in acting in 2005. Her first role was in a TV drama called Masuri on PTV. This role helped her become known in the acting world. Since then, she has appeared in many TV dramas, funny shows called sitcoms, and special TV movies called telefilms. She has also been a guest on many talk shows and programs. She even hosted the 17th PTV Karachi Center Awards.
Career Highlights
Starting Out: 2005-2012
Sabreen's first acting role was in Masuri in 2005. She played a repeating character in this show. For her work, she was nominated for a Lux Style Award for Best TV Actress. In 2008, she got a big chance in the Geo TV Soap opera Meri Adhoori Mohabbat. She starred alongside the actor Humayun Saeed. This show became very popular for the TV network. For the next few years, Sabreen continued to act in telefilms and other TV shows.
Becoming Famous: 2013-2019
In 2013, Sabreen Hisbani played the character Nighat in the TV series Aunn Zara. Nighat was Aunn's protective aunt. Sabreen played a supporting role in this show, which had many main actors. Her acting was highly praised, and she won the Pakistan Media Award for Best Supporting Actress. This show helped her gain a respected place in the TV industry.
In the same year, Sabreen also starred in another very popular show called Meri Beti (2013-2014) for ARY Digital. Both Aunn Zara and Meri Beti became classic Pakistani TV shows.
In 2014, Sabreen played Laila in a 13-episode Hum TV Miniseries called Laa. This series was nominated for many awards. Sabreen herself was nominated for the 2014 Hum Award for Best Supporting Actress. After this, Sabreen continued to appear in shows like Mera Dard Na Janay Koi (2015-2016), Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai (2015-2016), and Mubarak Ho Beti Hui Hai (2017).
In 2017, Sabreen had a recurring role in Mohabbat Tumse Nafrat Hai. Later that year, she starred in Gumrah (2017-2018) and Parchayee (2017-2018). Both of these shows were on the same network, Hum TV, and were very successful. They received good reviews from viewers.
On February 9, 2018, Sabreen's first movie, Azad (2018), was released. Azad is a drama film directed and written by Rehan Sheikh. Sabreen Hisbani starred in the film along with Sanam Saeed, Salman Shahid, Rehan Sheikh, Nimra Bucha, Zahid Ahmed, and Sajjad Kishwar.
In early 2019, it was announced that Sabreen Hisbani and Alyy Khan would star in a new Geo TV series called Saibaan. The first episode aired on March 3, 2019. Later that year, Mujhe Beta Chahiye was released on A-Plus TV. This series finished in December 2019.
In 2020, Sabreen created an Instagram account. She shared posts that showed she had moved to Canada. She has stayed active on social media since then.
Return to Media: 2024-Present
On July 3, 2024, Sabreen Hisbani and Umer Alam shared a post on Instagram. The caption said that Sabreen was making a comeback to Pakistani Television after four years. She is working on a new project for Hum TV, produced by MD Productions.
This post confirmed that Sabreen is returning to acting. The name of the new show, the characters, and the full list of actors have not been announced yet. Filming is currently happening in Karachi, Pakistan. The series is expected to be released later in 2024.
