About Sanam Baloch
Sanam Baloch comes from a Sindhi Baloch family. She married Abdullah Farhatullah in 2013. He is also a host, singer, and songwriter. They met while working at Samaa TV. In 2018, Sanam and Abdullah decided to go their separate ways. Later, in 2020, Sanam shared that she had gotten married again. Sanam also has a daughter named Amaya.
Sanam's Career Journey
Sanam Baloch started her career as a talk show host. She worked on the Sindhi TV channel KTN. There, she hosted two shows: Sanam Small Room and Diyoo.
Early Acting Roles
Sanam first acted in a TV play called Kalaq. After that, she played a kind orphan named Noorulain Aneez in the drama Noorpur Ki Rani. This role was based on a famous book called Rebecca. Her acting in Noorpur Ki Rani earned her a nomination for an award.
Sanam has also appeared in music videos. She has been in videos for both Urdu and Sindhi songs.
Becoming a Star Actress
In 2010, Sanam starred with Fawad Khan in the historical drama Dastaan. She played Bano, a girl whose life changes during the Partition of India. Critics praised her performance in the show. For this role, she won an award for Best Drama Actress.
The same year, she played a medical student from a poor family in the drama Daam. Reviewers said she acted very well in this role.
In 2011, Sanam played a woman who suddenly becomes a widow in Zindagi Dhoop Tum Ghana Saya. She faced many challenges in the story. Her acting was called "perfect" by critics.
Later, she played a character who faced domestic problems in the drama Kankar. Her portrayal of a woman dealing with tough times was highly praised.
Return to Acting
Sanam took a break from acting for three years. During this time, she focused on hosting The Morning Show on ARY News. In 2016, she returned to acting. She played the brave pilot Marium Mukhtiar in the TV film Ek Thi Marium.
In 2017, she appeared in the drama Teri Raza. She played Suhana, a university student from a wealthy family.
Her most recent role was in 2019, in the drama Khaas. She played a woman married to a difficult person. Her acting in this role was also highly appreciated.
