Saimi Hoyer (born June 18, 1974, in Helsinki) is a famous Finnish model and TV personality. She became well-known in Finland because of her unique look.

Saimi Hoyer's Early Life and Education

Saimi was born in 1974. Her parents, Soila Komi and Jyrki Nousiainen, were both actors.

Before she started modeling, Saimi studied at the Sibelius Academy. After that, she learned about the Hungarian language, Italian, and literature at the University of Jyväskylä.

Saimi's Modeling Career

Saimi's modeling journey began by chance. A photographer "discovered" her at a concert in Firenze, Italy. At the time, she was there studying theatre.

Soon, Saimi was walking on the catwalk in big fashion cities. These included Milan, Paris, London, New York City, and Tokyo. She worked for famous brands like Diesel and Burberry. Her pictures were seen in magazines in Italy. They also appeared in the US versions of Vogue and Marie Claire.

Life After Modeling

Saimi stopped modeling in 2003. She then started a new career in media. She became an editor for Image magazine. She also wrote columns for the magazine MeNaiset.

Saimi has also written for Savon Sanomat. She even worked as a weather reporter for Nelonen. Today, she writes articles for the magazine Anna.

Saimi on Television

In 2005, Saimi hosted a show on MTV3 called Mallikoulu 2005. In this show, she taught new models how to walk on the runway.

In 2006, she was part of the MTV3 style show Unisex. She worked with Arman Alizad and Heli Roiha on this show.

Saimi is also a judge on the Finnish version of America's Next Top Model. This show is called Suomen huippumalli haussa in Finland. It started in the spring of 2008.

Saimi's Family Life

Saimi married Thomas Hoyer in October 2006. Thomas is a financial director. They had their first child, Kaspar Thor Ever, in November of the same year. Their second child, Hektor, was born in 2009.
