Saint Petersburg, Colorado facts for kids
Saint Petersburg is a small, quiet place located in Logan County, Colorado in the U.S. state of Colorado. It's known as an "unincorporated community." This means it doesn't have its own local government, like a mayor or a town council, as a city or town would. Instead, the county government takes care of services for the people living there.
The community got its unique name thanks to a man named Pete Lousberg. He built a church for the people living in the area. In exchange for this kind act, he was given the special right to choose the name for the community. That's how Saint Petersburg got its name!
