Sajjad Ali (born 1966) is a famous Pakistani singer, songwriter, and musician. He is known for his amazing voice and for mixing different music styles like classical, pop, and rock. Besides singing, he has also been an actor, film director, and producer.

Early Life and Musical Roots
Sajjad Ali was born in 1966 in Karachi, Pakistan. His father, Shafqat Hussain, was an actor and a cricketer. Sajjad studied at the National Arts College in Karachi.
His uncle, Tassaduq Hussain, taught him music using classical songs. Sajjad learned from famous classical artists like Ustad Ghulam Ali Khan. He also learned from his uncle Ustad Munawar Ali Khan from India. Sajjad Ali comes from a family of classical musicians called the Kasur Patiala Gharana.
Sajjad Ali's Music Journey
Sajjad Ali started his music career very young. His first classical album, Master Sajjad Sings Memorable Classics, came out in 1979 when he was just 13 years old. This album was released by EMI-Pakistan.
He first appeared on television in a show called Aap Janab. Later, he performed in Rung Barangi Duniya and Rag Rung. At 14, he became very famous after singing "Banwari Chakori" on PTV's 25th anniversary show. This song was originally sung by the legendary Noor Jehan.
Sajjad Ali has released many popular music albums, including Babia 93, Chief Saab, and Sohni Lag Di. His brother, Waqar Ali, is also a musician and often helps write songs for Sajjad's albums.
In 2006, Sajjad released a classical song called "Chal Rein De". He also experimented with a jazzy, Sufi-style song called "Sajjad-Ali Sinsym Fligh". In 2008, he released his album Chahar Balish.
Sajjad Ali's songs were featured in the 2011 film Bol. He also performed his song "Kir Kir" on Coke Studio in 2011, which was a big hit. In 2017, he worked with rapper Bohemia (rapper) on a song called "Tamasha," which became very popular online.

He has also acted and sung in films like Munda Tera Deewana. Sajjad has sung theme songs for TV dramas, such as "Teri Yaad" for Thori Khushi Thora Ghum and "Na Boloon Gi" for Na Tum Jano Na Hum Janain. His brother Waqar Ali also helped create these songs.
Sajjad composed songs for Shoaib Mansoor's 2011 film Bol. He recorded these songs in his own studio in Dubai.

Sajjad Ali married Naureen in 1990. They have four children: two sons and two daughters. He lives with his family in Dubai Marina, United Arab Emirates.
His daughter, Zaw Ali, is also a singer and filmmaker. She performed with her father on Coke Studio Pakistan in 2017, singing "Ronay Na Diya". His son, Khubi Ali, started his music career in 2021 with a song called Udaas. His other son, Shabi Ali, is also a musician.
Sajjad's two brothers, Waqar Ali and Lucky Ali, are also well-known in the Pakistani music industry.
