Sakis Tanimanidis

Sakis Tanimanidis (born April 30, 1981) is a Greek TV host, producer, and businessman. He became well-known in Greece as the host and creator of the travel show World Party. This show was on Alpha TV from 2014 to 2016. In 2017, he became even more famous as the Greek host of Survivor. This show is a Greek version of the popular international franchise. Sakis is also a successful entrepreneur. He helped start Enthoosia, a company that owns museums in seven countries. He has also invested in many new businesses in Greece and other countries.

Early Life

Sakis Tanimanidis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, on April 30, 1981. He was interested in television from a young age. While studying engineering at a university in Thessaloniki, he co-hosted a TV show called Asteria kai Labara. After that, he moved to Boston, USA, for two years to get a business degree (MBA) from Babson College.

Career

World Party (2013–2016)

When Sakis returned to Greece from the US, he started his own TV production company. He also created the idea for the travel show World Party. In this show, Sakis and his friends traveled to more than 40 countries. They had exciting experiences and faced unique challenges. The goal of World Party was to explore the amazing world and its diverse people and places. Sakis was the host, creator, producer, and director of the show.

Survivor (2017–2019)

In 2017, Sakis Tanimanidis was chosen to host the Greek version of Survivor. The show is filmed in the Dominican Republic. Sakis hosted the version for Greek audiences. Survivor became very popular and had record-breaking TV ratings for a prime-time reality show.

Greece Got Talent (2017–2018)

In 2017, Sakis also became one of the judges on Greece Got Talent. He judged the show alongside Giorgos Kapoutzidis and Maria Bakodimou.

Boom! (2019-2020)

In 2019, Sakis started hosting a new game show called Boom! on Skai TV. The show stopped airing later that year. Some episodes were shown again in the summer of 2020.

Dragons’ Den (2023-present)

Since January 2023, Sakis Tanimanidis has been the host of the Greek version of Dragons' Den. This show airs on ANT1.

Sakis Tanimanidis also runs his own travel agency. He also started Baby Blue Project. This company creates TV shows, ideas for content, and commercial videos. It is based in Athens.

Personal Life

In 2017, Sakis Tanimanidis announced that he was in a relationship with Christina Bompa. The couple got married on September 1, 2018, on the Greek island of Sifnos. In December 2020, they shared the happy news that they were expecting twin babies.
