Saleta Castro Nogueira (born on November 3, 1987, in Pontevedra, Spain) is a professional triathlete from Galicia, Spain. She is known for her strong performances in triathlon, a sport that combines swimming, cycling, and running. Saleta was the Spanish Under-23 (U23) Triathlon Champion in the Olympic Distance and the Spanish Elite Long Distance Champion, both in 2010.
Saleta started competing in triathlons at a young age. In 2003, when she was just 15, she took part in her first international competition. She finished fifth with her team at the European Youth Team Championships in Győr.
In 2009, Saleta was ranked number 1 among Spanish elite triathletes, even though she only competed in a few events that year. She also earned second place at the Galician U23 Championships and third place at the Elite Championships. The next year, in 2010, she was ranked number 3 in Spain and won a gold medal at the Galician Elite Championships.
