Salima Rockwell (born January 24, 1972) is a famous American volleyball player and coach. She played for the United States women's national volleyball team and later became a successful coach.

Playing Volleyball in College
Salima Rockwell played college volleyball at Penn State from 1991 to 1994. She was coached by Russ Rose, a very well-known coach in college volleyball.
Coaching Teams
After her time as a player, Salima Rockwell started coaching. She worked at several universities.
Early Coaching Roles
- She first became an assistant coach for the Penn State women's volleyball team in 2006. She stayed there for two seasons.
- From 2009 to 2013, she was an assistant coach for the Texas Longhorns.
- She then went back to Penn State as an associate head coach from 2015 to 2017.
Becoming a Head Coach
Salima Rockwell took a break from college coaching in 2018. However, in January 2022, she returned to the sport. She was named the head volleyball coach at the University of Notre Dame.
