A Brief History of Salinas

Salinas used to be known just as a "Balneario." This word means a resort town. But on July 1, 1982, something important happened. Its status was officially changed to "Ciudad," which means city. This change was made by a special law called Ley Nº 15.283. This showed that Salinas had grown a lot and become a more important place.
