Sally Bollywood: Super Detective is a fun animated TV show. It was made in France and Australia. The show is about a young girl named Sally who solves mysteries. It first aired in 2009 and has two seasons. Each season has 52 episodes, and each episode is about 13 minutes long.

The Detective Duo

The show follows Sally, a 12-year-old Indian girl. She lives in a city called Cosmopolis. This city is full of people from all over the world. Sally's dad is a private detective. He inspired her to start her own detective agency. It's called Sally Bollywood Investigations, or SBI. Their office is in the basement of their home.

  • Sally Bollywood: She is the main detective. Sally is great at asking questions. She uses clues to figure things out. She has purple hair and an Australian accent in the English version. Sally is a big fan of a band called the Fuzzy Frogs.
  • Doowee MacAdam: Doowee is Sally's best friend. He helps Sally with all her cases. He often invents cool gadgets to assist their investigations. Doowee has red hair and also loves the Fuzzy Frogs.

  • Jasmine Gupta: She used to work with Sally and Doowee. Jasmine was an intern at SBI. She was asked to leave after she mixed up Sally's important papers. Jasmine can be a bit stuck-up and thinks a lot about herself. She is Rahani's sister. Alma is her best friend.

Sally's Family and Friends

  • Harry Bollywood: Sally's father is a private detective. He is the reason Sally became interested in solving mysteries. He sometimes worries about Sally's cases. But he is also proud that she is following in his footsteps. He also has purple hair.
  • Mrs. Apu: She is an older friend of Harry's. Mrs. Apu helps out as the Bollywoods' housekeeper. She often gives good advice to Sally and Doowee. She is like a mother figure to Sally. Mrs. Apu loves to cook and try new recipes.

The Fuzzy Frogs Band

The Fuzzy Frogs are a rock band from Sally's school. They used to be an all-boy band. But then Jenny joined them. They play rock music and have many fans, mostly girls. Doowee is also a big fan!

  • Tommy: He is Julie's brother.
  • Jeremy: He is the leader of the band.
  • Max: Another member of the band.
  • Jenny: She was a long-time fan. Jenny is now a backup singer. She was sad when she wasn't first asked to join. She once leaked one of their songs.

  • Lee: A classmate who is good at swimming. He has six toes on each foot.
  • Luna: She is interested in the spirit world. Luna also writes scary stories.
  • Vanessa: A talented singer at school. Her stage name is Vanessa M.
  • Melody: Vanessa's friend and also a singer. She used autotune in her performances.
  • Christina: Melody's best friend. She helps Melody get ready for shows.
  • Bridget Brickhouse: A strong athlete. She can be quick-tempered and has trouble with grades.
  • Albert: A scientist like Doowee. They often compete in science contests.
  • Mr. Bobby Shoebridge: The principal of Little Bombay Junior High. He gives cases to Sally and Doowee.
  • Paul: He writes poetry and wants to be a rapper. He loves gold.
  • Anna: A shy girl who loves the color blue.
  • Achmed: An expert skateboarder and good at disguises.
  • Nirmala Pashimbrana: A very shy friend. She is generous and a good dancer.
  • Rahani: Jasmine's brother. He loves art and is a good cook.
  • Alma: Jasmine's best friend. She is very excitable but can also be rude.
  • Mr. Big: A former con man and fortune teller. He tells clients what they want to hear.
  • Stan: An unusual boy with a pet rat. He is also the popular blogger, Blogger Boy.
  • George: A popular boy with bad grades. Sally once liked him. He is Betty's older brother.
  • Betty: George's shy younger sister. She becomes friends with Sally and Doowee.
  • Jaya Madurpore: A smart student with green hair and eyes. She can be a bit bossy.
  • Indira Madurpore (Mrs. Madurpore): Jaya's mother and a biology teacher. She can be strict.
  • Cassie: A new girl who once lied about having a cat to make friends.
