Samuel Powell-Pepper (born January 8, 1998) is a professional Australian rules footballer. He plays for the Port Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He is known for his strong play in the midfield and as a forward.

Growing Up and Early Football
Samuel Powell-Pepper was born in Perth, Australia. His mother is Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander. His father is Caucasian. Samuel lived with his father when he was young. He also spent time with his grandmother, mother, and friends' families.
School and Junior Teams
Samuel first went to Mount Lawley Senior High School. He was part of a special program for Aboriginal students there. Later, he received a scholarship to attend Wesley College. Other future AFL players, Shai Bolton and Cameron Zurhaar, also went to school with him. Samuel played junior football for the Mt Hawthorn Cardinals.
In 2016, Samuel started playing senior football. He joined the East Perth Football Club. He played in all the remaining games of the 2016 WAFL season that year.
Samuel's AFL Career
The Port Adelaide Football Club chose Samuel Powell-Pepper in the 2016 national draft. He was their second pick and the eighteenth player chosen overall.
First Game and Achievements
Samuel played his first AFL game in 2017. It was the opening round of the 2017 AFL season. Port Adelaide won against the Sydney Swans at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Samuel was named the 2017 AFL Rising Star nominee for that round. He kicked two goals in the game. His first goal was with his very first kick in AFL football.
In a game against Melbourne, Samuel made 17 tackles. This was a new record for his club. The previous record was 16 tackles.
