Growing Up
Samantha Harris grew up in a place called Tweed Heads, which is near the border of Queensland and New South Wales in Australia. She feels that the Gold Coast is also like her hometown because it's very close by. Samantha's mother is from the Dunghutti Indigenous tribe. Her father has German and English family roots. She went to Tweed River High School when she was a teenager and has three brothers.
Her Modeling Career
Starting Out Young
Samantha Harris began her modeling journey at a young age. When she was just 13, she won a big competition called "Girlfriend Magazine Covergirl." This win helped her become famous around the world and led to a contract with a modeling agency called Chic Management.
Big Steps in Fashion
In 2006, Samantha traveled to New York to work with a famous photographer named Patrick Demarchelier for Glamour magazine. A few years later, in 2010, she became an ambassador for a popular Australian swimwear brand called Seafolly. She was very busy during Australian Fashion Week in 2010, appearing in many shows. Samantha also appeared in the March 2010 edition of Australian Vogue and was on the cover of the June 2010 issue. She also worked with photographer Simon Upton for Harper's Bazaar Singapore.
Working with Major Brands
In January 2011, Samantha was chosen as a "young women's fashion ambassador" for a large Australian department store, David Jones. She joined other famous models like Miranda Kerr and Megan Gale in their TV and print ads for the Spring/Summer 2011/12 fashion season. In 2015, Samantha was a contestant on the TV show Dancing with the Stars (season 15). She also became an ambassador for Priceline, a health and beauty store.

Samantha Harris made history at age 18 when she became the second Indigenous model to be on the cover of Vogue magazine. In 2016, Samantha Harris shared that she had married her long-time partner, Luke Hunt, in March 2014. She wore a beautiful dress by Carla Zampatti. Samantha currently lives in Sydney, New South Wales with her husband and their pets.
