Samantha Marie Ware (born September 3, 1991) is an American actress and singer. She is also known by her singer name, Sameya. Samantha is famous for playing Jane Hayward in the TV show Glee in 2015. She also played Angela Archer in the Netflix series What/If in 2019. In 2016, Samantha was Lily in the Nike web series Margot vs. Lily.

Early Life and Acting Career

Samantha Ware grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska. She started acting when she was 19 years old while attending Doane University. Her first roles were in theater shows. She played Nala in a Las Vegas show of The Lion King.

In 2012, she joined a national tour for The Book of Mormon. For this role, she won an award called the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Supporting Performer. Later, Samantha got big roles in the TV shows Glee and What/If. She also played two characters, Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds, in the Chicago show of Hamilton.

Working on Set

In June 2020, Samantha Ware spoke about her experience working on Glee. She said that another main cast member, Lea Michele, was sometimes difficult to work with. Samantha explained that this happened when she had a smaller role in the sixth season of the show in late 2014.

Other actors from Glee, like Heather Morris and Amber Riley, also said that Lea Michele could be challenging. Lea Michele later apologized. She said that she understood her behavior had been "insensitive or inappropriate" and a sign of "immaturity." She promised to "keep working to better myself and take responsibility for my actions."
