Samar Samir Mezghanni, born on August 27, 1988, is a talented children's author from Tunisia. She is known for writing many stories for young readers.

Early Life and Family

Samar Mezghanni was born in 1988. Her father, Samir Mezghanni, is a lawyer from Tunisia. Her mother, Sahar, is from Iraq. Samar grew up with two brothers, Samer and Sirar, and one sister, Siwar.

Education and Studies

Samar Mezghanni studied psychology at Tunis El Manar University. She earned her first degree there. Later, she completed a Master's degree at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. As of July 2025, she is working on her doctorate. Her advanced studies are in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Cambridge.

Samar Mezghanni has written over one hundred stories for children. Her very first children's story was published in September 1997. She holds two special records from the Guinness World Records. One record is for being the youngest published writer. The other is for being the youngest and most prolific writer in the world. This means she wrote many books at a very young age. Samar is also a member of many groups that focus on Arabic and international topics. She has appeared on British television to share her thoughts on important issues in the Middle East.

Samar Mezghanni has received several awards and honors for her writing and achievements:

  • She was named one of the BBC's 100 Women in 2013.
