The Samuel Kraemer Building was built to be the home of the American Savings Bank of Anaheim. It was designed by a local architect named M. Eugene Durfee. When it was finished, it was the tallest building in Orange County. It stayed the tallest for more than 40 years! The building also had beautiful, shiny tiles on its outside walls.
