Samvel Nikoyan (born February 13, 1957) is an Armenian politician. He is best known for serving as the President of the National Assembly from 2011 to 2012. The National Assembly is like the parliament or main law-making body in Armenia.

Leading the National Assembly
From December 2011 to May 2012, Samvel Nikoyan was the President of the National Assembly. This is a very important leadership position. Before that, he served as the Vice-President of the National Assembly from 2009 to 2011. In 2013, he also worked as the Deputy Chair of the National Assembly.
Awards and Family Life
