Samvel Nikoyan (born February 13, 1957) is an Armenian politician. He served as the President of the National Assembly of Armenia from 2011 to 2012. The National Assembly is like the parliament or main law-making body of Armenia.

What is the National Assembly?
The National Assembly is Armenia's main legislative body. This means it is where laws are made for the country. Members of the National Assembly are elected by the people. They work to represent the citizens and make important decisions.
Samvel Nikoyan's Role in the National Assembly
Samvel Nikoyan held important positions in the National Assembly. From 2009 to 2011, he was the Vice-President. Then, from December 2011 to May 2012, he became the President of the National Assembly. This is a very high-ranking position. After that, in 2013, he served as the Deputy Chair.
Awards and Recognition
