San Diego is a town in Venezuela. It is the main town, or capital, of the San Diego Municipality. You can find it north of Valencia Lake in Carabobo State.
This town used to be mostly about farming. But it has grown very fast in recent years! Many areas that were once farms are now new neighborhoods. Today, jobs in shops and services bring in more money than farming.
In 2011, about 93,257 people lived in the San Diego Municipality.

Where is San Diego located?
San Diego is in the northwest part of Valencia City. It sits on land that is perfect for farming. This land is part of the Valencia Lake basin.
The San Diego River flows through the town. It comes from the mountains in the north and makes its way to Valencia Lake.
What are the interesting places in San Diego?
San Diego has some cool spots to visit:
- The San Diego church is an old church that has been kept in great condition.
- The area around the San Diego church, near Bolívar Square, also has traditional buildings.
- Pozo la Cumaca and Waterfall: This is a super clean river with a big swimming hole and a waterfall higher up. You need to ask the park ranger for permission to enter the waterfall area. It's a great place to relax and cool down. You'll need a special off-road vehicle to get there.
- The Cocadas kiosk: This place is very popular with local people. They sell delicious coconut water, milkshakes, and ice creams!
