San Diego is a city in the state of Texas, United States. It is found in two counties: Duval and Jim Wells. Most of the city is in Duval County. San Diego is also the main town, or county seat, of Duval County. In 2020, about 3,748 people lived there.

San Diego is located in southern Texas. It is about 10 miles (16 km) west of Alice. The city is also 56 miles (90 km) west of Corpus Christi. If you travel east, it is 84 miles (135 km) from Laredo.
The city covers a total area of about 1.9 square miles (4.9 square kilometers). All of this area is land, meaning there are no large lakes or rivers within the city limits.
