San Leanna is a small village located in Travis County, Texas, in the United States. In 2020, about 522 people lived there.

A Look Back: History

San Leanna started as a planned neighborhood, called a subdivision, in Travis County during the 1950s. By 1970, it became an official village. This meant it could have its own local government. It was led by a mayor and aldermen, who are like council members.

In 1974, San Leanna had around 200 residents. The village continued to grow over the years. By 1988, its population reached 297 people. In 1990, the number of residents increased to 325.

San Leanna is located about 10 miles (16 kilometers) south of downtown Austin. Austin is a much larger city in Texas.

The village covers a total area of about 0.4 square miles (1.0 square kilometer). All of this area is land, meaning there are no large lakes or rivers within the village limits.
