San Martín Zapotitlán facts for kids
San Martín Zapotitlán (or just San Martín) is a small town, also called a municipality, in the Retalhuleu area of Guatemala. Every year, on November 11, people in San Martín have a small fair. They celebrate to remember a special person named Martin of Tours.
Even though San Martín Zapotitlán is very small, only 24 square kilometers, it's super important! It's the smallest municipality in Retalhuleu. But it's one of the top 50 most important towns in all of Guatemala. This is because it has three amazing amusement parks: Xetulul, Xocomil, and Xejuyup. These parks bring many visitors and help the town's economy.
