San Mateo is a small village in Cantabria, a region in northern Spain. It is part of a larger area called Los Corrales de Buelna. A river named Rebujas flows through the village.

Where is San Mateo Located?
San Mateo is surrounded by interesting places. To the north, you will find a village called Barros. To the southeast, it borders Los Corrales de Buelna. On its western side, it is next to the beautiful Saja-Besaya Natural Park. In 2016, about 290 people lived in San Mateo.
The Rebujas Rock Festival
San Mateo is famous for hosting the Rebujas Rock festival. This is a music event that brings people together to enjoy rock music. It is a big event for the village each year.
