Sand Hills is a small place in New Jersey, United States. It's not a city or town with its own government. Instead, it's part of a larger area called South Brunswick Township. Sand Hills is located in Middlesex County.
This area gets its name from a group of small hills called the Sand Hills. These hills are made of a type of rock called diabase. One of these hills is actually the highest point in all of Middlesex County!

Sand Hills is found where a few important roads meet. These roads include U.S. Route 1, Sand Hills Road, and Major Road.

The Hills and Roads
The roads in this area, especially U.S. Route 1, go up and down quite a bit. This is because they have to climb over the Sand Hills. It's a noticeable change from the flatter land around it.
